“You said only the turtle was on me, not it’s food and other things.” She stares back at him.

He stared at her with his solid eyes and looked at the old man. “So where are the food and such?” He walked along with the old man who showed him what kind of food and habitat that the turtle lives in and eats.

She looks away from his gaze and looks at the little turtle instead. She follows behind the two older men, keeping her eyes on the turtle.
